The 2nd Annual College Poker ChampionshipTM is an online Texas Hold
'em No Limit poker tournament series, open exclusively to registered
university college students worldwide. The winner can truly claim the
title of
"THE BEST TEXAS HOLD"EM, NO LIMIT COLLEGE POKER PLAYER IN
THE WORLD"

encouraging gambling by students. They are however looking for the world's
top student poker players. That's why entry into the tournament is still
ENTIRELY FREE, with all events being played with tournament chips. ABSOLUTELY

They are awarding cash scholarships and charitable donations that will
allow students to fund their educational endeavours.
The tournament runs for just over eight months. There will be 37 qualifying
rounds known as "Super Satellites" with $500 in scholarship
awards each week. They will be played every Sunday at 4 PM EST; with
the first Super Satellite being played on Sunday, August 29, 2004, and
the last Super Satellite being played on Sunday, May 8, 2005.
Each Super Satellite gives you the opportunity to secure a place in
the Satellite Event, because the TOP 10% of players in each Super Satellite
qualify for the Satellite Event. The Satellite Event will be played
on Sunday, May 15, 2005 at 4 PM EST. It offers $5,000 in scholarship
awards and the TOP 20% of players in the Satellite Event secure a place
in the Online Final.
The Online Final will be held on May 22, 2005 at 4pm EST. Players who
place 11th to 80th will share in $15,500 of scholarship awards, while
players who place 1st to 10th will share $94,500 in scholarship awards.
The winner will be taking home an outstanding $41,000 and as an added
feature in the Online Final, charitable donations amounting to $10,000
will be made to any charity or organization, designated by players placing
1st to 10th.
